Oyens, Iowa--Carlyn Mary Graff, 75, of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Oyens, died Friday, Dec. 4, 1992 at her residence in Cedar Rapids after and extended illness.

Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Oyens, with the Rev. Timothy Hogan officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Granville. Visitations will be 2-9 p.m. Monday at Teahen Funeral Home in Cedar Rapids, with a Scripture wake service at 7 p.m. Visitations will continue after 2 p.m. Wednesday, with a Scripture wake service at 7:30 p.m. at the Feuerstein Funeral Home in Le Mars.

Mrs. Graff, the former Carlyn Doud, was born Aug. 6, 1917, at Oyens, daughter of Jacob and Kathryn (Orban) Doud. She graduated from St. Mary's High School in Remsen in 1935, and from Samuels Cosmetology School in Sioux City in 1937. She moved to Granville and owned and operated a beauty shop until her marriage to Otto Graff June 10, 1940. They moved to Milford where she was active with the Catholic Daughter of America, the Catholic Foresters, and various community activities. In 1966, they moved to Cedar Rapids and lived there since. In 1990 they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in California with their sons.

Survivors include her husband; two sons and their wives, Gary and Linda of Alameda, Calif, and Jim and Linda of Cedar Rapids; two brothers and their wives, Ralph and Margaret Doud of Grand Island, Neb., and V.J. and Jund Doud of Le Mars, Iowa; a sister and her husband Luella and Merle Delperdang of Sioux City, and five grandchildren.
